Sunny smile with cheer in my eyes,
My warm heart held you deep inside;
Hatching, I thought, was my angel dove,
To spread love and joy in my lonely world.
Chilling winds nor the burning sun,
None could reach you in my heart’s nest;
Be my color drained or in pouring rain,
I stood up to them all, shaken nay.
I stood up to them coz I had you inside,
My love would hatch, and you’d be mine;
Singing songs of the yonder joy,
I kept my heart warm – just for you.
Blackness you saw, when you peeked outside,
The light in my eyes never reached you in there;
Bloody and red, you saw inside my heart,
But that’s what had been nourishing you all along.
Stepping into my lonely world,
You saw only a cage, and broke free;
My love had hatched –
And you flew out of my heart…
Sunny smile with cheer in my eyes,
My warm heart held you deep inside;
Hatching, I thought, was my angel dove,
To spread love and joy in my lonely world.
And you flew out of my heart…
